Valerie Sue's Story

After graduating in 65 I attended college in Oregon, then England. I worked at Boeing after returning from Europe and South America. I married in 1970 and moved to the Portland area for 6 years. We had two wonderful sons born in '74 and '77 . I was blessed to travel a lot and enjoyed a very happy and exciting life until 2001 when my husband decided to pursue another interest. Sadly, our 36 year marriage ended finally in February of '06. Fortunately, I have a wonderful family and many supportive friends that helped me through healing to wholeness. I have determined that my experiences will make me BETTER, not BITTER, and that the rest of my life will be the best of my life. en doing nursing home/retirement home ministry for the past 29 years. I have been Published in several Chicken Soup for the Soul books as well as many other publications. I write poetry for fun. I love photography, animals, flowers, music, and people (but not in that order). My two sons live nearby. One is a commercial pilot, married to a wonderful Polish gal he met while attending Capernwray Bible School in England. The other has his own computer business. They each have one son. I remarried in January of 2011 to a wonderful man who works as an emergency room nurse at a nearby hospital. He is a widower with no children. My new last name is McCormick, but I am having trouble changing it on this website. I am a "people person" and would love to get together with former classmates from Marysville or Federal Way.
